PHANTOM PHRIDAY! Mr. Plinkett’s Phantom Menace Commentary Track

February 10, 2012

Even though it’s fucking horrible, do you still plan on seeing The Phantom Menace in 3D this weekend? Why not plug your ears with two hours of Plinkett droning to make the experience more painful? I mean less painful! Below is the Mr. Plinkett Phanton Menace commentary track! Put it on your mobile device and listen to it in the theater while you watch the film (and definitely DO NOT pay to see another film and then sneak in) or sync it up with your DVD or stupid Blu-ray. Or just listen to it on its own because that’s not weird at all. Click here or the banner below to get the commentary track:

    There are some truly fantastic moments in this commentary track. Jesus cancer. Female Nemodians. Padme is expendable. Truly, magnificent. But, sadly, I must say that this was not all I had hoped, especially when juxtaposed with the original Phantom Menace review. There is still a lot that could be said about the film that goes unmentioned in both, which wouldn’t necessarily matter so much if this commentary track didn’t have so much dead air time and so much time devoted to things other than the Phantom Menace. While art is entirely subjective, it is my personal opinion that the “Attack of the Clones” commentary (if there is one) should try to stay a bit more objective and not leave the audience hanging with as much dead audio time.

    boring and unfunny thanks.

    Sure got us there, RLM! After giving us all those brilliant reviews for free, you get us to PAY to listen to this disappointing audio track whilst sitting through the entire Phantom Menace movie again!

    Plinkett = God

    Goddamn haters. Make your own commentary tracks and video reviews if you’re so much funnier than RLM. Have I ever heard of anything you asshats have put out? No? Then shut your gobs, you festering weasel placentae. Fuck.

    Thanks, Mike- incisive and entertaining as always. Keep up the good work.

    Very boring and I hate this commentary.

    I haven’t listened to it though

    You’ve missed the point entirely. He said that he could go on for hours talking about everything that’s wrong in the movie, but that there would really be no point. The purpose of this was to point out a few major things he didn’t cover in the video review (which is deep enough on its own, I think) and to make a hilarious experience out of all the random stories and jokes he tells that have nothing to do with the movie.

    Unlike the video review, which is more analytic, I consider the main point of this to be comedy, and it went well above my expectations. This is seriously one of the funniest things I’ve ever listened to.

    “L-l-let’s see you do it better!” – Ah, the classic knee-jerk response from pissed off hot-heads in lieu of an actual argument when someone criticizes their precious idols. You don’t have to be better than someone at something in order to criticize their work, you just have to be educated. Roger Ebert never directed a movie. There are Michelin Star Judges who have never worked in a kitchen.

    “Then shut your gobs, you festering weasel placentae” – Really? Who says that? You sound like an angry edgy 12 year old. This track is just not that good. You might see that if your vision weren’t constantly blinded by Mikes pubis.

    Wasn’t there a great trailer for this commentary that had Plinkett arguing with Jar Jar and Boss Nass? I can’t find it anywhere on the RLM YouTube channel!
