The Rich Evans as Space Cop poster in the background was a nice touch.

  • Brack to the Future

Was that… was that a framed portrait of Grand Moff Tarkin?

    • Joaquamil Ph Antom

It was! … And behind the Tree.. there is a space cop poster!

    • Thanatos2k

I know, I wish I had one too.

  • Percy Gryce

I’m guessing that this is some kind of complicated Doctor Who homage or fan service or rip-off.

My drunk wife loves Doctor Who.

Did I mention I hate Doctor Who?

  • http://kingengrishkube.deviantart.com/ kube of Nazareth over 9000

they had it coming!! thankx mr Plinkett!!……………………. oh no, not again…NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

  • diehounderdoggen

The dialogue started and I clicked back out of instinct. Fuckin Care Boars.

  • Percy Gryce

The good news: there’s a new Plinket vid.

The bad news: it’s animated Plinkett.

    • http://faddlechud.tumblr.com/ Faddlechud

It’s like finding out your wife was in a car crash, but then finding out that she survived.

      • Festus Moonbear

        …………………Oh.

  • DeweyFinn21

When’s the next Quick Cuts you hack frauds?!

    • Duckler

      Gamesplation 2.1..!

  • stripeyunderpants

    What’s wrong with your FAAACE??

  • Marvin Falz

    I like the Animated Series.

    • Percy Gryce

      What’s wrong with your taste?

      • Marvin Falz

I can’t put my finger on it but there is something really cool about the animation style. I think it’s the flickering and the way the objects move. And of course Mike’s Plinkett voice – I like the rearrangement of his lines mixed with lines of dialogue from other movies to create a whole new dialogue.

        • Domo_Konnichiwa

I kinda like them, too, just not enough to watch them multiple times like the reviews, BOTW, or HITB. I also appreciate the work involved to provide a service to Plinkett fans, even in the face of opposition.

        • Percy Gryce

I’m on record as actually liking them too. I like their surreal quality and the amusing, found-footage use of Mike’s Plinkett voice.

This one I didn’t quite follow, though. Must be some sort of Whovian fan service.

  • http://faddlechud.tumblr.com/ Faddlechud

Care Boars are the key to all this, if we can get the Care Boars working… because they’re funnier characters than we’ve ever had before.

    • Percy Gryce

      It’s gonna be great.

    • Cameron Vale

The Jedi cut them down like they’re butter, they really are pretty useless.

    • ElectricPrism

mesa no no whatsa usa saiyan

    • Liz Frazier

It’s good to show contempt for your audience.

  • hensandwich .

Hey you fucks! When we say we want more Plinkett, we don’t mean these animated shit storms.

  • Joe Syxpac

To add insult to injury Care Boars autoplays right after it.

    • catnep

Care Borgs. They’re determined to assimilate us.

  • Joe Syxpac

At least it’s not January… yet.

  • Percy Gryce

You missed the portrait of Grand Moff Tarkin, played by Peter Cushing, who also portrayed “Dr. Who” in two noncanonical Doctor Who movies in the 1960s.

    • Joe Syxpac

You know entirely too much about Dr. Who.

      • Percy Gryce

Particularly for someone who doesn’t even like Doctor Who.

        • TapewormBike

I liked the porn version “Doctor Who gives a fuck”

  • Percy Gryce

You’re not counting the Star Trek Into Darkness review?

  • http://faddlechud.tumblr.com/ Faddlechud

There’s also a hidden Tardis at around 0:49

    • kiki8092

And also a Dalek at 1:14 under the mistletoe

      • Percy Gryce

Serious, you guys, you made me look.

  • The Summer of George

    RLM, you fudging trolls!!

  • dollar store cashier wife

They finally made a potion that makes you forget all about these cartoons.

    It’s called bleach

  • Mk Ultra

I’ve sent you $1k worth of pizza rolls and you still haven’t reviewed anything. I HATE YOU PLINKETT

  • SomeoneElseTookDude

    thats gonna be great

  • Cameron Vale

    Finally! FINALLY!!!

  • Cameron Vale

Does the presence of the Care Boars mean that the animator reads these comments?

    • Percy Gryce
      • TapewormBike

        Poor guy.

      • Mark Bisone

In my defense, dog shit smeared on construction paper is considered a delicacy here in Bellevue Hospital’s cafeteria.

        • Percy Gryce

So, you maniac, they finally removed the restraints, lowered the dosages, and let you use the computer in the common room, eh?

          • Mark Bisone

Restraints? In my hometown, we are running the joint.

          • Percy Gryce

I heard about that little election y’all had up there in the Big City. Back to the ’70s: Ft. Apache, the Bronx. Warriors, come out to play. Death wish. Etc. Ah, the good old days.

          • Mark Bisone

Everything old is new again, yes.

On the plus side, the coming spike in our murder rate will SURELY bring downward pricing pressures on funerals. I can finally afford that Excelsior model headstone Nimoy is always bragging about. Take that, racism!

  • ElectricPrism

I hope to see the new Plinkett house soon, they gotta have it done by the next Hobbit at least. (Oh wait – that’s tomorrow?)

  • Big Mclargehuge

Last Christmas you gave us a Plinkett review of Titanic. This year you gave us…this. I’m so gonna hire the surviving actors of Miami Connection to hunt you down and beat you while singing the friendship song.

Seriously, those guys probably need the money for crack these days

  • Liz Frazier

Have to disagree. Making mashed potatoes is hard! I fucked up my mashed potatoes last night (used poop instead of potatoes). And somehow I still didn’t make a turd as bad as The Phantom Menace.

    • TapewormBike

The secet is to crawl inside your ass while you do it.

      • Mark Bisone

A truly baffling comment. Thank you.

      • Mitchell Taco Nash

TapewormBike, I’m nearly crying of laughter from your comment. I don’t even understand life anymore.

        • TapewormBike

Well I saw Gravity yesterday. So I cannot help you.

          • Mitchell Taco Nash

            Explain.

          • TapewormBike

Just that the movie was trying realy hard to tell me some big truths, but I was busy enjyoing all the flying around.

          • Mitchell Taco Nash

I wonder if Interstellar will leave space silent as well?

          • TapewormBike

Based on the trailer, I think it might be a documentary about corn growing redneck, who will undoubtedly take off his shirt at many points throughout.

  • Liz Frazier

I’m generally not a fan of these animated videos but this one was kind of entertaining. The story seemed a little more coherent than the others and any chance to see the Care Boars again is great.

    • Joe Syxpac

Liz, go to the hospital RIGHT NOW!

      You’re having a stroke!

      • Liz Frazier

Shit! So that’s why I don’t have any feeling on my right side. I thought it was the Care Boards showering me with their love rays. Thanks for the warning!

Seriously though, at least this short made a little more sense than…no sense at all.

        • TapewormBike

          And Kevin Bacon

        • Cameron Vale

Care Boarding? I think they had a convention in Geneva about that.

          • TapewormBike

TortureCon, yeah. I still have the Abu Ghraib promotional hoods.

  • tjp77

    These are really bad.

  • Duckler

Wow, you actually made “first” even dumber by quoting a 13 year old Super Bowl commercial. Congratulations.

  • Mijk

Animated Plinkett needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine.

    • Comatose

He can’t be far off, looks like he killed his wife at the corner of ‘Bad Wolf’ and ‘Trenzalore’ here.

  • JesterHead

    Fuck yourselves RLM

  • TapewormBike

I like the basic idea of these, but it just does not have the RLM touch (literally).

    • JesterHead

I’m just disappointed really… They are doing to Plinkett’s character what George Lucas and Steven Spielberg did to Indiana Jones.

      • TapewormBike

I mean, not really. These are basically fan films, that they post, because, well, it is nice to have fans who devote so much effort to their tributes. They themselves are still producing quality stuff. Granted, Plinkett reviews tap is not even dripping anymore, but there is so much to love of what they do and did in the past. To get back to the original point, it is sort of as judging Star Wars output based on the fat lightsaber guy video on youtube. As opposed to Lucas, RLM are still great and in charge of the “real” brand projects.

        • JesterHead

I (and many others) became a RLM fan because of Plinkett reviews. You cannot find reviews that in depth elsewhere. Then came half in the bag and best of the worst and I thought “Hey cool, I can get to know these folks on a more personal level, learn a little about each of them” and I considered it a little extra “frosting” with my cake. But then there was no more cake. Only floods of frosting. Look I get it. Lulls in between content releases lose fans. I suspect Plinkett reviews are the most time consuming part of RLM, but in terms of quality content, I would argue it’s also the best. I feel they are trading less quality for more quantity. Make it a quarterly project, a semester project. Just don’t kill them off. Especially if you’re going to keep his character alive in HITB. Just a sad reminder to me.

          • ident

I know no more than anyone else, but I think the lack of Plinkett reviews has more to do with a lack of targets than anything else. The Star Trek, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Avatar and Titanic reviews were born from RLM’s intense interest, Mike’s specifically, in those films and/or their directors. Outside of those films, what’s deserving of a Plinkett review? What other movie really needs an in depth analysis into its fuckery?

          • TapewormBike

I agree actually. Everybody is suggesting this and that, but I think that it might be hard to find the passion for Mike to review say Matrix Revolutions, because he probably gave a very little amount of fucks about it.

          • Percy Gryce

Cop Dog and Baby’s Day Out.

          • ident

Yes, those exist. I think my point still stands.

          • Marvin Falz

My guess is that RLM always tries to find the perfect balance between fan wishes and their own ideas of what to produce. Since this world lacks perfection there will always be someone who will not be satisfied. (That is why God created hands in the first place, they’re complementary to genitals, otherwise they would be pretty useless.) Fans want more Plinkett reviews. Fans also want Space Cop. RLM probably wants Space Cop to be better than their previous feature productions naturally because they want to improve themselves and thats what their fans want too. So they put more energy and time into Space Cop while they also give us HitB and BotW for free. Because fans also want to hang out with them. Someone send RLM a cloning machine.

    • Torgos_Giant_Knees

It just occurred to me that these animations are alarmingly deficient in volcanoes that spew sharks who, themselves, vomit lava.

  • Noah Roalson

These are fine and dandy, but lets get real here. WHERE IS THE NEXT PLINKETT REVIEW?!?!

  • aksen

jesus fucking christ, what a bunch of ungrateful fucks.

  • AnimationWorksNL

I’m an animator myself, so I can only respect this guy for all his hard work (because animation always is) and congratulate him on this wonderful niche at RLM. The stories are clever, and I like the multiplane shots. I would like a little more design in the animation and characters. Whether it’s intentional or not, it looks a bit too crummy for my taste. But that’s just my opinion. Well done!

    • catnep

Agreed, I believe the crummy is intentional and stylistic. It fits with Plinkett’s voice and general lifestyle.

  • TapewormBike

Everytime you post a comment, a child dies. I make sure of it.

    • fuckyou

Ironically, this is the first time I posted a comment on this site, so I don’t know with what other internet friend you’re confusing me with.

Also I appreciate the children killing, how did you know that will entertain me?

      • TapewormBike

It was a preemptive child murder. And let us be honest here, who does not find the sound of snapping prepubescent neck funny? Turtles, maybe.

        • fuckyou

I’m a turtle, and I found them funny.

          • TapewormBike

PETA will go crazy about that downvote counter now.

          • fuckyou

Nah, only if the votes somehow got in a movie.

          • TapewormBike

Or if Mario wears suit made out of you in the next game.

          • fuckyou

            I’m a ghost turtle.

          • TapewormBike

I knew I should not have gone with game references, I get lost very quickly. But if you are just trying to scare me, I approve.

      • ident

        I missed the irony.

        • fuckyou

Yeah well, “Irony is wasted on the stupid.”, also I see even on the RLM site, asinine dimwitted people take comments seriously. I guess the internet remains the same anywhere you go.

          • ident

Good news! Since there was no irony, you didn’t waste it. You can keep all the precious irony to yourself. And well done on figuring out the Internet is worldwide. Wait until you find out people can still see you when you close your eyes. That will blow your fucking mind.

          • Thanatos2k

What kind of retard registers an account named “fuckyou” and then tries to mock others?

  • Big Mclargehuge

    Fade to black…

“Only through the elimination of violence can we achieve world peace”

  • bb-15

The video was funny and that’s all that matters.
    - As for all the complaints about the lack of Plinkett reviews, the RLM crew have repeatedly said that they are busy making Space Cop.
    - Also, there is lots of other content on this site.
So, I can wait for another Plinkett review.

    • JAGUART

They’d better hurry up, Rich Evans ain’t getting any thinner.

  • Saren Nevac

After Space Cop, i would love RLM take on Scrooge, with Plinkett being visited by three spirits. His dead wife as christmas past and Rich as Christmas Present. Or maybe as Death. Not decided.

  • ident

All of those are indeed movies. I would not consider any of them worth a 70 minute analysis, but I’m not Mike.

    • bb-15

      @ident; I pretty much agree.
Mike needs to care a lot about a film (ususally being very angry) for him to do an hours long Plinkett review.
The recent movies that Mike has probably been the most passionate about are Man of Steel and Star Trek Into Darkness. But RLM already did lengthy HITB reviews for those films (and a short video about Into Darkness).
What else could Mike add with a Plinkett review?
      - I don’t think there are that many films that Mike wants to do the full on Plinkett treatment.
After Space Cop he will get to another Plinkett review.
      * But I’m in no hurry because as I’ve said, RLM has already covered the new movies they care the most about with HITB.

  • cobrazombie

Well that’s three minutes I won’t get back.
