January 28, 2014426 Comments

The house set constructed for Doc of the Dead has gotten a lot of use with other RLM projects, including the ongoing Space Cop shoot. Red Letter Media Behind the Scenes: Shooting Zombies

September 26, 2013511 Comments

Some people have been wondering about the slowing down of content for the site lately. Well, here’s a big part of why! We’ve been hard at work the last few weeks shooting Mr. Plinkett segments for the film Doc of the Dead, a documentary about zombies in pop culture. It’s been very time consuming and very bloody, but hopefully everyone will enjoy the final result! We’re also working to get all of our exterior scenes for Space Cop shot before it starts to get cold outside, but have no fear: Half in the Bag will be returning soon, and we’ll of course continue episodes of Best of the Worst as well. Thanks for being patient!

September 25, 2013356 Comments

Want to be an extra in Space Cop? We’re shooting an outdoor sequence for the movie this Saturday, September 28 in St. Francis, Wisconsin and we need a crowd of cheering fans. If interested in being a part of the film, please email casting@redlettermedia.com and let us know so we can give you more details. Please keep in mind that this will be a full film shoot, so our time will be limited while we’re running around setting up shots and getting the material we need and we may not have much time to chat. But if you want to cheer on Rich Evans in a silly costume, just email casting@redlettermedia.com and let us know!

September 9, 2013683 Comments

Here is a recent 3 day long time lapse video! We had to dismantle and store two sets in order to build a new one from scratch for another project. The wide angle lens makes our studio look a lot bigger than it really is so this was quite a puzzle to make room for everything. These sets were all built for WELL under $128,000 too!

Dex is a nerdy scientist. Sid is an angry punk rock idiot. Ray is an alcoholic with anger management issues. And Jacob is a crazy person who thinks he’s a safari hunter. Together, these four hacks are forced to team up to save the world…while hating themselves and each other.

Gorilla Interrupted was the first major collaboration between the people that would go on to form Red Letter Media. Shot in 2002 and remastered in 2013, this updated version of the rarely-seen film features newly shot special effects and a new score.

This Sunday December 9, we’re going to be throwing our 2nd annual all-day streaming event (technically it was two separate half days last year, but whatever). This time we’ll be focusing less on nothing but Plinkett reviews and more on a diverse and bizarre collection of our own stuff as well as weirdo bad movies you’ve probably never seen. Also, we will continue the tradition of playing fun/weird/annoying shorts in between the scheduled stuff. Good times! Come watch crazy stuff and chat. Check out the schedule below:
