Mike, Jay and Rich welcome special guest Freddie Williams to the first ever episode of the Best of the Worst Selection Series, in which Freddie personally selects all three films for the group to watch.

  • Francis Tommaso

    Great to see Freddie back.

  • NPettinato14

    Kill Point!!!!

Marking out hard on this one, as it was filmed in my home town. And almost nothing has changed, so you can still spot most of the… ‘locations’. (aka shitty river bottom, Rubidoux ranch, and Main Street diner)

  • Mistah J.

Hey, it’s one of those rare episodes where I’ve seen all of the films they’re watching. Neato.

  • Superb.

  • thestalkinghead

i took a deep breath and felt better about the world when i saw a new best of the worst was out

  • Mr_Show

  • RLMkeepitup

    Freddy’s back bitches

  • Adam Varney

Apparently Angelique Pettyjohn turned up in Star Trek

  • langweilig

i write this comment without even having watched it, but i am looking forward to watch it know. ghetto-faust from dortmund! sure it will be fun…

  • RLMkeepitup

making Rich laugh is a bucket list event and Mike is but a padawan learner to Rich

  • Like Icare

It’s frightening how much he’s aged in the meantime.

The Trump presidency has really taken its toll on him.

  • Dom_DeLuise’s_Armpit_Child

Looks like I won’t be sipping hot led from the ol’ .357 one more day, boys!

  • Freddie seemed a lot more into it this time.

  • bhlaab

There is an actual low blow sequel called Blood Street AND a sequel to kill point called Showdown and they are both DIRECTED BY leo fong

  • Joe Syxpac

I saw Slaughter High many years ago on a Saturday afternoon Thriller Double Feature. The differences were it was re-titled as “The Horror” and was edited for TV to the point of being even more incomprehensible than it actually is. For instance, Max Landis getting an axe to the face was completely removed, he simply disappears from the movie after being hanged (hung?).

  • playdude92 .

    No snark. Great episode!

okay, a little snark; Slaughter High aka Obvious revenge fantasy is obvious.

  • Jean-François Martel

Alright, who’s gonna get Rich Evans to write te Slaughter High sequel???

  • Jean-François Martel

it’s also kind of the twist in the shitty teen horror movie Cry_Wolf

  • TMC_Sherpa

Dunno. I’ve never seen Max naked.

  • Joe Syxpac

You are missing out, my friend.

  • RedLetterMediumsDotCorn

    By Grabthar’s hammer…

  • That might possibly be because this is the first time they’ve actually had him on to watch actual movies. (I think?)

  • LameSame

Really all that obvious? I mean, movies are usually fantasies to begin with, so you don’t often see that coming. Which sucks, because it’s unnecessary and always feels like a betrayal.

  • goodmatt10 1

I think this is the first time I got here somewhat early. Slaughter High is one of my favorites, thanks for doing that.

Still wish you’d hit “Deathstalker 2” one of these times tho, that movie is a classic!

  • If only Mike and Rich had realized Angelique Pettyjohn (the half nipple chick) appeared in Star Trek’s “The Gamesters of Triskelion” episode!

  • frankelee

That the alien stroking it didn’t get repeated ten to twenty times in the intro is just more evidence of Mike’s descent into alcoholism.

  • Seth

  • Seth

It may be that he has faith in our ability to capture and edit our own porn.

What is the overall ranking of Cameron Mitchell films on BOTW (the film itself not the CM performance)? My guess:

    6. The Tomb
    5. Space Mutiny
    4. Kill Point
    3. Low Blow
    2. Deadly Prey
    1. Terror in Beverly Hills

  • richardwicks

I’ll give these jerkwads $100 to review The Plague Dogs in this format. Not because it’s a bad movie, but it’s a FUCKED up movie. I saw it as a little kid.

  • Percy Gryce

Mike doesn’t go for the obvious Star Trek references. He holds out for the really obscure references, like comparing Get Out to half the episodes of TOS.

  • Angela

Mike smacking his face into wall/microphones/etc is my favorite Mike.

  • Percy Gryce

BOTW Selection Series™ is the Criterion Collection® of RLM.

  • Anyone know where Jay’s awesome TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE shirt came from?

  • thismachinekillsfascists

I like that they never watch Nukie. They continue to focus on it as if they might. But they don’t.

  • Papa Figo

  • Biohazard – directed by Non Dohler

  • marko112kg

they mentioned in the low blow episode that it comes from the director (or producer) of kill point.

  • Papa Figo

In a work of fiction, where nothing makes any impact on reality, you create a sequence that has no impact on that fictitious world. It is double nothing.

  • Kawaii as Fuck

I totally got Slaughter High confused with Return to Horror High, which I think had a young George Clooney.

  • Domo

It’s nice to know that RLM are just as grossed out by an older woman’s breasts as they are by a young man’s penis and testicles.

The impartial critics that we need. The egalitarians we deserve.

  • Welcome Back Otter

There’s a very brief shot of her in that episode shown here. Blink and you’ll miss it. I guess you blinked. But Mike’s brain didn’t!

  • Welcome Back Otter

I’d like to see them watch every copy of Nukie they’ve been sent in one very special episode.

  • Welcome Back Otter

Did he though? Or is he still alive … waiting.

  • Spoiled Ants

“It’s not too late. We can still get the actors to play high school students again”.
    Well, I’m afraid not, Mike.
Simon Scuddamore who plays the main character committed suicide shortly after the movie’s release and supposedly never even saw the film.

  • Sir Baronish

    The Internets.

  • Brian Levine

I “LOVE” that episode! At the end, Kirk has to fight 3 of the Thralls to the death. After killing off two of them and wounding the third, they send Shahna (Angelique) in to fight Kirk, He quickly pins her down with a knife held to her throat, and she goes “The Thralls surrender!” What? Did the first two guys know that was an option?

Oh, and Chekov’s drill Thrall is still disturbing to this day. Not to mention what happens to Uhura with her drill Thrall. Weird stuff.

  • goodmatt10 1

    Good question.

  • kylemz

“Tonight, on a very special episode of Best of the Worst…”

  • Joe333

I want a King Kong review

  • john smith

I <3 RLM! I wish I had money so I could give them a big bag of it for all this great free content!

  • The Wicker Man (BWF)

Low Blow or Deadly Prey are the best.

  • kensu

Arrrgh, they mention Critters, but they NEVER REVIEW IT! (the original Max Headroom TV movie is in the Wheel of The Worst intro, they need to review that too!)

  • M_

Return of the Killer Tomatoes! also has a young Clooney. Check it out if you haven’t already.

  • Bob

But they got so many miles out of “Close the F**kin’ doors!” especially in the review of The Tomb. Terror in Beverly Hills was unanimous against Ghetto Blaster and Killing American Style. It gets tough whenever the Canadians come to town.

  • DanteSuckfest202

You didn’t put “Kill Point” in the closing credits of your episode.

Everything else was wonderful; one to add to my list of favorite BotWs.

  • Knight_ldr

    John Wick where!?

  • Seth

RLM is into smaller cars is the problem.

  • Seth

    Only 10s may suffice.

  • Seth

That’s what she said, I believe.

  • goodmatt10 1

Not sure which one grosses me out more myself.

  • My friends are watching Pass Thru right now and I think I’m skipping it. Too tired for Neil Breen’s shit.

  • instant relief

  • instant relief

    This video is too short.

  • tOmy`

Look who the cat dragged in!

  • RLMkeepitup

at least there’s no rewind on the internets

  • Cakefarts

Watching Mike (trying) to act is like … _____ (fill in the blank).

Ok I’ll start. Watching Mike act is like encountering my Mum wearing a strap on.

  • instant relief

You mean it turns you on?

  • instant relief

The Australian who must not be named says “Hi!

  • Thanatos

Or was that all a dream?

  • Cakefarts

    Quite the opposite.

I was alluding to scary, odd and unsettling. And lastly the longer it goes on the more painful it becomes.

  • instant relief

    Oh. #disappointed

  • True, but it didn’t come up in the discussion so I’m thinking they didn’t realize it during filming. Surely they’d take the opportunity to torture Jay with more Trek trivia, right?

  • I think maybe they don’t review it because it’s on the upper end of the b-movie scale? At least from what I can remember it’s not a terrible movie. Remember, they said that Robot Jox didn’t belong on the panel – and while I agree – I’m sure many recognize just how much of a b movie it is. It seems like they are more prone to reviewing things none of them have seen, unless it’s something really special.

  • So I watched Pass Thru with my friends last night. I don’t even know where to start – so I’ll probably just not spoil anything and leave it to the RLM bunch when they get around to it. I’ll just say this – I think Neil Breen is a crazy person who wants to cleanse the earth of “bad people” – but also wants to send immigrants back to where they came from. Like he thinks that anyone who came here illegally just “gave up” on their own country and if they went back and tried harder they would somehow improve their conditions. Very strangely conflicting ideals and a very endearingly immature world view. But yeah that movie was Tommy Wiseau bad. He actually had other actors/actresses who said lines this time, and they were even worse than him.

  • RLMkeepitup

can i ask where you found the film, id like to watch if the price is not crazy

  • LameSame

Whaaaat? Mike’s a fucking inspired comedic actor. What are you on?

  • LameSame

And the selections are just as random!

  • I believe you can buy it on his website for the movie through Paypal – Pass-thru-film (.com)

  • Brian Levine

    By the suns of Wharvan…

  • RLMkeepitup

you’d think for a man of his intellect, digital download would be an option, to get his message to the world before its too late

  • peterablex

    Best. Comment. Ever.

  • Robotpals

It turns out I can reliably go one month without Best of the Worst before the shakes and hallucinations set in. Please keep in mind for next time.

  • BCFC25

That was some cheap jokes aimed at us Brits but hey we take it just as much as we can give it out to you cheese eating Wisconsin cow fuckers! 🙂

But seriously we Brits love your stuff and never change except for your cheap arse beer that also shite!

  • durhay

I like this newer version of Josh.

  • Ragged Gypsy

Cue card chief from Kill Point looks like one of the worst bosses I ever had when I worked for the railway. Uncanny.

You could almost ask if cue card police chief is replacing former railway boss.

  • Child0fLight

Listened to the Jurassic Park commentary track yesterday and they suddenly drifted off into Star Trek territory. About how Captain Picard doesnt like kids and hates Wesley. Pure gold! Would be great if they do a Voyager or TNG special only doing that.

  • Joe333

I want to see King Kong and Power Rangers reviews

  • Gift Card

I hope they do 1990: Bronx Warriors one day

  • Michael Collins

Hello again everybody, hope you are all well.

  • Brian Levine

Coming in 2018: King Kong vs. Goldar!

  • Tommy Wiseau

Help! Tommy is now trapped in the 4th dimension! Why must bad things keep happening to Tommy?!?!?!

  • Mike Magnum

Why dose mike think that every women around 30 to 40 years old. Is someone Grandma. By that logic, Mike must have some grandkids.

  • Papa Figo

I felt like Pass Thru was a new take on his previous movie I Am Here…. Now, just like Fateful Findings is kind of a remake of Double Down. And I see what you are saying about the acting, it seems like Neil Breen told the actors “now you say this”, feeding them the lines just before saying “action”. I even doubt there was a written script, I believe he just had it all in his brilliant special mind.

I recommend you watch them all. Fateful Findings is among my favorite good bad movies.

Also, in Pass Thru, the casting of the aunt and niece characters as two young girls of differrent races but the same age was hilarious!

  • Papa Figo

But Mike is not a woman of 30 to 40 years old, is he? Did I miss some special episode?

  • Bill Hiers

No, but he’s a man of the same age. I think Mike Magnum’s point is there’s a double standard.

  • Strelnikov

What about the sequel, Escape from the Bronx?

Featuring guys in motorcycle helmets with fogged-up plastic visors, a guy MST3K called “Toblerone”, and Henry Silva’s skull trying to bust out of his face.

  • Papa Figo

Are you both trying to use reason? This is the internet, don’t you know any better?

  • I think a lot of the seemingly misogynistic comments by Mike and crew are often in jest of their own implied societal roles as “men”. There was an article I read awhile back about the Plinkett reviews and how there’s an “apologist” factor to his shock humor. By hyperbolizing what’s wrong with audiences and even with himself – he is often making fun of people who take too much offense – but simultaneously making fun of himself and the average movie-goer for inherently falling into the trappings of modern-day tropes. I could be wrong on all-accounts though, they might just be a bunch of sexist hackfrauds. In their defense though, they have mentioned before when it was the other way around – Charles Bronson for instance dating a young lady just so she can be murdered on screen.

  • The 4th spatial dimension or the 4th dimension of spacetime? (which would be time, and it’s perfectly normal I wouldn’t worry about it)

  • Drew Gaska

The woman in Biohazard is Angelique Pettyjohn, best known as drill thrall Shahna in the Trek TOS episode “The Gamesters of Triskelion.” Surprised Mike didn’t catch that!

  • You know what is fun? That actress, Angelique Pettyjohn is from an iconic guest role on the original “Star Trek”. She is the green haired woman Kirk punches after kissing, “The Gamesters of Triskelion”.

I am legit shocked Mike did not mention it.

She was also a burlesque queen and did a nude photoshoot of that green haired woman for posters she could sell at Star Trek conventions.

  • Pop Culture Reference

I didn’t know they named a high school after Sgt. Slaughter?

  • Pop Culture Reference

What about those authentic American accents? Cor blimey guvnuh!

Plague Dogs is worse then Watership Down. I don’t think these guys would be up to the job though.

  • richardwicks

Plague Dogs is worse then Watership Down. I don’t think these guys would be up to the job though.

What was wrong with Watership Down?

I enjoyed the blatant propaganda message of The Plague Dogs.

  • Papa Figo

I didn’t express myself properly. I meant that Plague Dogs is more heavy handed with its message. It is overall harder to follow, especially as a kid. For fucks sake, the openning shot is a dog drowning.

  • richardwicks

Yeah, it was totally messed up. It was rated G when I was a kid, because in America EVERY animated film is for little kids of course! Whoever rated it, didn’t watch it.

Some of the more shocking scenes are taken out. Same ending of course. Saw the complete film later on which it made it’s way out of Australia onto the Internet. As far as I know, Australia is the only place it was released in it’s entirety.

It floats around on youtube for short periods of time.

I actually saw Slaughter High at Best Buy two days ago, I was surprised it was still 25 bucks.
